CPD support

If you’re having issues with our website, or the online account is not working as expected, it may be related to the browser you are using or your browser settings. Following the steps in our website support guide may help you solve the problem.

Your online account will only work if you have activated it using the email address we hold as your primary email address. If you need to update your email address, please read our online account guide

If you’ve tried all the steps in the website support guide and you’re still not able to record CPD on your online account, please email [email protected]. To help us understand the issue, please include screenshots and as many details as possible.

The CPD requirement

You must record CPD before 30 November 2020 if you want to renew your registration.

Where to record CPD

You must record CPD on your online account. Once you’ve logged in to your online account, select the ‘CPD overview’ link in the section called 'Your CPD'. You can then add a new CPD entry using either the structured or unstructured form.

Who needs to record CPD

All registered social workers must record at least one piece of CPD, even if they are not practising. The CPD requirement is not linked to your employment situation, for example you are still required to record CPD if you are on maternity or paternity leave.

We want to see how you have reflected on your learning and how the CPD has improved your practice.

How much CPD you should record

To provide evidence that you are meeting the professional standard on CPD, you must record at least one piece of CPD before the end of the current registration year (30 November 2020).

You only need to record CPD that you have done since 2 December 2019. There is no requirement to upload any CPD from before that date. Only CPD recorded between 2 December 2019 and 30 November 2020 will count for registration renewal purposes.
