Responding to the challenges in practice where there are concerns of child sexual abuse in the family environment

10am to 11am. We discuss the importance of ensuring that social work education includes opportunities for social workers to build knowledge, skills and confidence when working with children affected by sexual abuse.

Co-producing and co-delivering the North West Collaborative practice educator refresher training project

11.30am to 12.30pm. We explore and celebrate the value of co-production across a very large geographical area. We demonstrate that identifying 'experts' and bringing them together collaboratively much can be achieved that is high quality and good value for money.

Preparing for practice: students, standards and sector trends shaping education and training

1.30pm to 2.30pm. As the landscape for social work education and training grows in complexity, join us to explore the trends shaping courses and curriculum across the country.

3pm to 4.30pm. We introduce a number of different research projects that are underway or nearing completion. Presented by practitioner researchers, experts by experience and academics, we’ll showcase research findings across on a range of subjects relating to contemporary social work practice.
