Allegations

Whilst registered as a social worker:
1.    Following the end of your placement with the Wandsworth London Borough Council, you failed to maintain professional boundaries in respect of Child A, in that you:
a.    Continued to work with Father A; 
b.    Sent inappropriate emails to one or more of the following:
                                              i.    Colleague 1;
                                             ii.    Colleague 2;
                                            iii.    Colleague 3
 
2.    Following the end of your placement with Elysium Healthcare, you failed to maintain professional boundaries in respect of Child C, in that you:
a.    Sent inappropriate Whatsapp messages to a former colleague asking for information;
b.    Attended Child C’s funeral without an invitation to do so;
c.    Behaved inappropriately at Child C’s funeral towards members of Child C’s family;
d.    Made inappropriate requests for information in respect of Child C to one or more of the following:
                                              i.    Child C’s family;
                                             ii.    The Coroner’s office;
                                            iii.    NHS England
e.    You misrepresented your position relating to Child C to one or more of the following:
                                              i.    NHS England;
                                             ii.    The Coroner’s Office;
                                            iii.    Child C’s family.
 
3.    Your conduct at paragraph 2(e)(i) and / or 2(e)(ii) and / or 2(e)(iii) above was dishonest in that you knowingly misrepresented your position.
 
The conduct at paragraph 1 – 3 above, amounts to misconduct.
 
Your fitness to practise is impaired by reason of your misconduct.

The final order made by the panel will come into effect and will be recorded on the register on the expiry of the 28 day appeal period or on conclusion of any appeal which is made, whichever is later.

The panel also imposed an interim suspension order to cover the appeal period.
