Request to have the register annotated
Last updated: 28 November 2019
If you have completed approved mental health professional (AMHP) or best interests assessor (BIA) training, you can request to have it added to our online register. This means that if someone searches your name on the register, they will also see that you have this additional specialism.
The 2 additional qualifications we recognise are:
- Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP)
- Best Interests Assessor (BIA)
Annotations will not be applied automatically to the register, so you need to tell us if you have completed this training.
You can request to have the register annotated through your online account. To do this, you need to provide evidence of your new qualification. There is no fee to pay for your entry to be annotated.
Go to online account to request an annotation
Once your request has been received, it can take up to 10 working days to be approved. The annotation will then appear on the register immediately after approval and you will get email confirmation of this.
If you would like to become an Approved Mental Health Professional or a Best Interests Assessor, you can view our approved courses.
