Continuing professional development (CPD) is the essential learning and reflection that social workers do throughout their careers. We asked the social care team at Bolton Council what CPD means to them, and how they maintain an open learning culture.

The CPD requirements
This year, all social workers are required to record:
- A minimum of 2 pieces of CPD, including
- At least one piece with a peer reflection.
You must do this by 30 November 2022 as part of renewing your registration.
