Shaping the future of social work in England
6/15/2022 2:00:52 PM
Every day, social workers support millions of people to improve their chances in life. Since becoming the regulator for social workers in England in December 2019, we have looked to take a new approach to regulating social workers in their vital roles.
We are committed to enabling positive change in social work, and these events will provide you with opportunities to share your experiences and expertise in social work. These events are for anyone with an interest in social work in England.
What you share with us will then feed into:
- the development of our next corporate strategy which will set out our plans for the next 3 years, which we’re developing in collaboration ahead of formal consultation later in the year.
- embedding our vision for social work education and training, which we will be publishing towards the end of June. This vision will include information on how the sector can work together to make the most impact on preparing new social workers for their vital roles.
- the content of the social work in England report which will share what we've learnt about the social work profession in our first 3 years of regulation. This report influences our regulation and informs future improvement in social work practice.
