Yasmeen Abdul Rahim

Yaz currently works within her local authority as an expert by experience, sharing her views as a person with a physical disability.

Her areas of expertise are working with children and young people and transitions. Yaz uses her personal experiences of social work to inform others of the needs of children transitioning from children to adult social work services.

For example, thinking about the impact on a child or young person when they move from school to college or from the family home to supported or independent living.

Yaz also has considerable experience within the voluntary sector. She has worked with children and young people with or without disabilities in schools, youth clubs, play groups and charity organisations.
