Our behaviours and values are important to us. They shape and steer our interactions with each other and with everyone that we come into contact with, both internally and externally.

Our behaviours and values were developed together with our staff. We’re proud of them and what they mean to us as an employer and a specialistregulator.

  • Being a business: focused on delivering business objectives
  • Focusing on people, including those with lived experience of social work and registered social workers: put people at the heart of social work and knowledgeably collaborates with them
  • Embracing change: leads change by communicating clearly and encouraging discussion
  • Respecting each other: works with others to build respect

Values

  • Fearless: influence and drive change where needed
  • Independent: carry out our work without undue influence from anyone
  • Ambitious: have high aspirations for the social work profession, for regulation and for ourselves

  • Collaborative: involve those with an interest in social work about who we are, what we plan to do and how we plan to do it
