1. Whilst employed as a social worker for Wiltshire County Council, you continued to support an individual despite being aware of the outcome of a civil court case in New South Wales where a jury found that a number of serious allegations against that individual were substantially true, including allegations concerning inappropriate behaviour towards children, which;
a. raises concerns about your professional judgement and decision-making as a child protection social worker;
b. placed you in conflict with your role as a Social worker and the relevant HCPC professional standards, namely that;
i. you must make sure your conduct justifies the public’s trust and confidence in you and your profession;
ii. you must declare issues that might create conflicts of interest and make sure they do not influence your judgement.
2.The matters set out in paragraph 1 constitute misconduct;
3.Your fitness to practise as a social worker is impaired by reason of your misconduct.
