Ifeanyi Nwokoro

Ify is a disability awareness spokesperson and blogger who works in the higher education sector as an expert by experience. He draws from his experiences of social work while living with a spinal-cord injury after a road traffic accident left him quadriplegic in 2010.

His exposure to healthcare, social work and legal services drive his focus on independence alongside disability.  His interest in equality and anti-discrimination stem from his experiences as a Nigerian immigrant.

Ify works with social work students, academics, newly qualified social workers and their supervising practitioners at Teesside University, James Cook University Hospital and Middlesbrough Council.
