Gemma Linfoot-King
Gemma qualified through the Step Up programme and now works as a social worker in the children’s health and disability team with City of York Council.
Gemma was previously chair of the domestic abuse scrutiny panel for North Yorkshire Police. She has also worked in higher education, co-producing with students at York St John University on a project aimed at tackling sexual harassment and domestic abuse. Gemma has previous experience of supporting people using sexual assault referral centre services and over 10 years experience working in local authority, NHS and charity roles aimed at vocational rehabilitation for people with a range of physical and mental health conditions.
Gemma also worked for several years at Sheffield Hallam University where she was an employment adviser for students progressing into allied health and nursing roles.
